Today, we read the Elf on the Shelf book because our elf will be arriving right when we get back from Thanksgiving break.
(sidenote: Kindergarten goes only M/W/F until December 9th so we only have Monday to do this! I thought this would be great for management in our first few full weeks together!)
We will give our elf a name and then I will read the profile I downloaded here and modified!
Upon returning I wanted to have ideas ready for the elf that literally would cost nothing - since I did have to buy him (even though it can be used for years!) and I wanted to be able to utilize materials in my room! I created this EDITABLE calendar for my elf events this year! I wanted to have a plan but I can easily modify it/switch the days depending on the class behavior!
Best part is you can click and download your copy for FREE! Edit it to fit your classroom :)
I got many ideas from the awesome Positively Learning! The pack below is FREE as well and we will be working in that journal to incorporate writing with our elf!!!
Be sure to leave some awesome feedback if you download any of these ideas :)
We'll be working on this craftivity as well! Look for pictures of elf antics and crafts coming soon!
Thanks for sharing all the great ideas of how to incorporate the elf into your classroom!!!
